Academic counseling is an interactive process in which the counselor helps the student set and achieve academic goals, acquire relevant information and services, and make responsible decisions consistent with interests, goals, abilities, and degree requirements. During an appointment you can:
- Create a student educational plan (SEP)
- Receive information on certification and degree requirements
- Explore major and career options
- Discuss transfer pathways to CSUs, UCs and private schools
- Determine AB540 eligibility and assistance with filling out affidavit
- Receive information on financial aid (California Dream Act) and scholarships
- Connect to various campus and community resources
