In efforts to reduce the consumption and resultant waste of plastic water bottles on campus, filtered water bottle refilling stations have been placed around campus. Currently there are refilling stations on the second floor of the Administration Building, across from the Student Center, at the Child Development Center, on the second floor of the Camino Real Building, and in multiple places in the Verdugo Gym complex. More continue to be placed around campus.

Save money and the planet by investing in a reusable water bottle. Bring your own from home or show your school (and environmental) spirit by purchasing one at the Campus Bookstore.

It takes oil to make disposable water bottles and only 20% are ever recycled. It also takes oil to deliver the bottles to campus. The bottled water being sold in machines on campus is currently Vernon, California tap water. We currently litter our campus and the Scholl Canyon Landfill with empty bottles of Vernon tap water when Glendale's tap water is at least as good. Glendale Water and Power water quality reports can be viewed online at any time. They test the local water in Glendale more than 100 times per week.
