Special thank you to our MLK Breakfast committee.

ALL EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES ARE FREE AND OPEN TO THE COMMUNITY.
THESE PROGRAMS ARE BROUGHT TO YOU BY THE MEDIA ARTS DEPARTMENT, CULTURAL DIVERSITY AND SPONSORED BY STUDENT EQUITY AND ACHIEVEMENT.

Each year, we celebrate Black History Month through various activities and events on campus. The offering of these activities has been mainly the responsibility of various offices and programs. You can see some of the MLK flyers from the past below. Various programs came together to create a more coordinated effort in order to be able to provide more events. This new committee includes students from Black Student Union and Black Scholars and staff from the areas of Counseling, Student Equity and Achievement, Cultural Diversity, Library, Student Affairs, and the Multicultural & Community Engagement Center.
One of the first decisions made by this new MLK/Black History Month Planning Committee was to "extend" Black History Month to begin with the MLK annual event in January and continue offerings to the end of the month of February.
