This degree provides a strong foundation for students preparing for careers in the allied health fields, such as nursing, physical therapy, optometry, and occupational therapy, among others. The required courses prepare students for advanced coursework in certificate or professional degree programs or for transfer to four-year institutions. Students must complete all required courses for a minimum of 20 units. Program Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this program, students will be able to identify anatomical structures and describe the function of important systems in the human body, and be well-prepared for courses in the health science professions.
All courses used to satisfy the major for the Associate in Science degree must be completed with a grade of "C" or better.
