The AS-T in Geology provides students with a strong academic foundation in the field and preparation for upper division baccalaureate study. Students who have completed the AS-T in Geology will have satisfied the lower division requirements for transfer into Geology or a similar major for many campuses in the California State University system. Please consult a GCC counselor regarding specific course requirements for your transfer institution. Program Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this program, the student will have the knowledge and skills offered to develop foundational knowledge to be able to use evidence-based approaches to explore and evaluate global issues such as natural disaster preparation, energy, resources, and climate; apply reasoning to evaluate hypotheses and theories; analyze, interpret, and present research evidence.
All courses used to satisfy the major for the Associate in Arts degree must be completed with a grade of "C" or better.
