The AA-T in Social Justice: Gender Studies provides students with a strong academic foundation in the field and preparation for upper division baccalaureate study. Students who have completed the AA-T in Social Justice: Gender Studies will have satisfied the lower division requirements for transfer into Gender Studies or a similar major for many campuses in the California State University system. Please consult a GCC counselor regarding specific course requirements for your transfer institution. Program Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this program, students will have the knowledge and skills to Critically examine individual experiences, social institutions, and historical perspectives through the lens of gender and sexuality. Analyze how these formations intersect with other socially salient aspects of identity including but not limited to race, class, and nation. Articulate connections between global, regional, and local issues pertinent to the study of gender and sexuality.
All courses used to satisfy the major for the Associate in Arts degree must be completed with a grade of "C" or better.
