The AA-T in Economics provides students with a strong academic foundation in the field and preparation for upper division baccalaureate study. Students who have completed the AA-T in Economics will have satisfied the lower division requirements for transfer into Economics or a similar major for many campuses in the California State University system. Please consult a GCC counselor regarding specific course requirements for your transfer institution. Program Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this program, students will be able to Develop a broad and critical understanding of the complex interconnections between the human and environmental forces in their world. Demonstrate an understanding of economic theories and functioning of basic microeconomic and macroeconomic systems.
All courses used to satisfy the major for the Associate in Arts degree must be completed with a grade of "C" or better.
