Associate in Arts for Transfer - Communication Studies 2.0

The AA-T in Communication Studies 2.0 provides students with a strong academic foundation in the field and preparation for upper division baccalaureate study. Students who have completed the AA-T in Communication Studies 2.0 will have satisfied the lower division requirements for transfer into Communication Studies or a similar major for many campuses in the California State University system. Please consult a GCC counselor regarding specific course requirements for your transfer institution. Program Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this program, students will be able to Demonstrate oral and written communication skills to produce effective speeches. Demonstrate increased appreciation of the speech communication process. Demonstrate the ability to apply critical thinking skills in the areas of speaking and listening.

All courses used to satisfy the major for the Associate in Arts degree must be completed with a grade of "C" or better.
