Associate in Arts for Transfer - Art History

The AA-T in Art History provides students with a strong academic foundation in the field and preparation for upper division baccalaureate study. Students who have completed the AA-T in Art History will have satisfied the lower division requirements for transfer into Art History or a similar major for many campuses in the California State University system. Please consult a GCC counselor regarding specific course requirements for your transfer institution. Program Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this program, students will be able to Identify major topics, developments, debates, and issues of art history. Apply their knowledge of key concepts in art history to discuss. Analyze, and synthesize a variety of theoretical and practical foci within the discipline. Gain a global, national, and local perspective on issues pertaining to art history preparing them for multiple pathways to future study and career opportunities.

All courses used to satisfy the major for the Associate in Arts degree must be completed with a grade of "C" or better.
