Tina Curtis holds a Bachelor’s of Music degree (CSUN), Master’s Degree in Music (USC), and teaching credential (CSUN). As a freelance drummer/percussionist, Ms. Curtis has had the pleasure of performing with people such as: Motown Legend Smokey Robinson, jazz great Lionel Hampton, Dame Evelyn Glennie, Florence LaRue (the 5th Dimension), Rose Stone (Sly and the Family Stone), studio legend Alex Acuna, Latin Grammy nominee Maria Del Rey, and Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) among others.

As an educator, Ms. Curtis has enjoyed teaching percussion studies at Glendale College since 2006. Prior to Glendale College she was professor of percussion studies at Ventura College and a highly sought-after private music instructor whose teaching studio held steady at 45-50 private students per week. In addition to teaching at Glendale, Ms. Curtis has taught percussion ensemble and choir at Robert Frost Middle School in Granada Hills since 2006. Ms. Curtis is also the author and publisher of the popular children’s music workbook, Farmer Tapp’s Rhythm Coloring Book, I & II.
