Allen Savedoff is a former faculty member of Augusta College, Georgia and St. Cloud State University, Minnesota. A member of the Pacific Symphony, Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and California Philharmonic, Savedoff has performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, LA Philharmonic New Music Group, LA Opera, LA Chamber Orchestra, Pasadena Symphony, New West Symphony, Glendale Symphony, LA Master Chorale, Opera Pacific and Southwest Chamber Music. Studio work includes recording for feature films and television. He has recorded three solo CDs: Contradiction, a collection of jazz standards on contrabassoon; SavoirFaire, new and classical music on bassoon and contrabassoon, both on Capstone Records; and Standing On Chairs, an instrumental pop, rock and blues album, available on Big Round Records. Teaching positions include Occidental College, Glendale Community College and Pasadena City College.
